The World-renowned Mayo Clinic is located in Central Scottsdale and so is Scottsdale Basis High School, a high performing school and ranked as one of the top high schools in the United States.

Central Scottsdale is an area that is home several planned communities developed around bodies of water and also several golf course communities. There are much smaller gated residential communities in this area as well.
