Welcome to the Town of Fountain Hills, which is a master planned community established in 1970. Fountain Hills bordered desert terrain and linked to Scottsdale via Shea Blvd. Fountain Hills sits at a higher elevation than the rest of the Phoenix Valley, so it’s a little bit cooler.

Reasons residents enjoy living here in Fountain Hills is because of the distance away from the hustle of the City of Scottsdale., yet close enough to enjoy Scottsdale’s amenities. Fountain Hills is 20 minutes away from Sky Harbor International Airport and convenient to all the shopping and restaurants in old town Scottsdale and Kierland Mall, all which can be reached in under 20 to 30 minutes. If you’re looking to visit Downtown Phoenix, you can expect it to take you approximately 40 minutes.
The population of Fountain Hills is only about 22,489 people which decrease to about half of that in the summer due to the Snowbird Effect! When it’s HOT here, residents leave Arizona for the cooler climates of their home towns, where ever that might be. Fountain Hills also attracts many retirees, although we don’t have the active adult communities like in other parts of the valley, there is still plenty of amenities to choose from.
What about Fountain Hills? It offers 3 public golf courses, Eagle Mountain, Desert Canyon and Sunridge Canyon, one private course at FireRock Country Club and another, We-Ko-Pa which is located a couple miles outside of Fountain Hills near the Fort McDowell Casino.
